The top two fastest growing occupations from 1998 to 2008 are Computer Engineers and Computer Support Specialists. The demand for these technically trained employees will grow from 700,000 in 1998 to 1,500,000 in 2008. The Certificate in Computer Service Technology is a one year program designed to train a person to be capable of installing, upgrading, troubleshooting, and repairing computers and computer based systems. Courses cover computer software, hardware, and networking essentials. Emphasis is placed on preparing students for the A+ Certification Exam and the Network+ Certification Exam.
